Western Conference team reportedly interested in Bronny James

The basketball world is anxiously awaiting to see where Bronny James ends up. According to Yahoo Sports, the youngster could compete against his father, LeBron James, out west.

NBA Draft analyst Krysten Peek reported that the former University of Southern California guard has caught the attention of Danny Ainge and the Utah Jazz.

"The Jazz have expressed interest in bringing Bronny in for an individual workout and could be interested in him with the 32nd pick, sources told Yahoo Sports," Peek wrote. "The franchise has been patiently rebuilding behind the leadership of Danny Ainge and bringing in Bronny with the hopes of luring a superstar like LeBron could be the jump owner Ryan Smith is looking for to add a spark to the Jazz."

While luring LeBron will be considered when drafting Bronny, the elder James reportedly doesn't necessarily have to play with his son.

“The idea of them playing together is not a priority," ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski said on "NBA Today." "It’s not foremost, at least any longer, in LeBron James’ mind."

His collegiate career wasn't the most prolific. While Bronny dealt with health issues, he only appeared in 25 games, averaging 4.8 points. James showed his skills during a scrimmage at the NBA Draft Combine as he scored 13 points in 23 minutes played.

The Jazz had a disappointing 2023-24 season. They finished the year 31-51 and missed the playoffs. Drafting Bronny (and potentially landing LeBron) would bring some buzz to a team that desperately needs it.

If Bronny gets drafted, his NBA journey will just be beginning. He will have a long way to go to prove doubters that he wasn't simply selected because his father is arguably the greatest basketball player in NBA history.

If Bronny wants to forge his own path, ending up on a team that doesn't roster his father would be a good chance for him to show what he is truly capable of.
